SINGLE – Dover Lights: Three Women

by François Zappa

Three Women is the first single of the duo from the Ozark Mountains (a region in the U.S. states of Missouri, Arkansas, Oklahoma) Dover Lights, consisting on lyricist/composer Daniel Brinker, and producer/arranger Andy Moore. The borders between folk and dream pop are forgotten in the beautiful song that works as a first preview of an self-titled album that it´s going to be release on the 15 of January of next year. Also, a new single will be published in December. You can pre-order the album here

The song is about three women that have marked Daniel Brinker’s life, one in a dream, one during his travels and last but not least, his wife. In this evocative song we can find some of the influences of the band, such as  This Mortal Coil and the 60s psychedelic folk band Pearls Before Swine. For the full album the duo promises a wide range of styles from darkware to industrial. In the next days, we will share our impressions of the album.
