Xila Ibiza aka CURVE X, DJ from the Barcelona scene, born in the legendary “Ruta del Bacalao,” has a musical culture that stands up thanks to the variety and constant experimentation and investigation behind the desks as music is her passion. Her club culture comes from the constant analysis during 25 years of the Valencia, Barcelona and Berlin club culture.
Although she is focused on the rhythm and textures of acid techno, we can also surprise us with sets of dark, EBM, electro, acid house, post-punk or mix all of them in the same session. Something is sure, nobody stays apathetic thanks to her meticulous vinyl selection full of different beats and sounds.
Technic is, according to her words, her passion: “To touch the vinyl and feel the noise of its grooves is to live it intensely”. An intensity that transmits in every of her sessions creating her distinctive signature.
CURVE X starts her career in Barcelona, just four years ago. In this time, she is djed in some of the best sessions and club of the city, such as Laut, Garage 242, 33/45, The Garage of The Bass Valley or Sidecar among others, also playing in Madrid for the prestigious techno collective DNA at the Siroco club, just a bit before the pandemic. She has recorded a lot of streams, like the ones done for Protokultura from Poland.
Her DJ sessions, always on vinyl, eclectic and personal, full of beats and good vibes, don’t leave anyone indifferent.
