One of our goals for this 2021 is to keep you updated with all the new releases of every Spanish label that is doing electronic music akin to our tastes. So, let’s say industrial techno, EBM, synthwave, new beat or dark electro. After writing a few lines about the last reference of Frigio (that is now the next-to-last), it’s the turn of reviewing Asymetric80’s Chaos Theory released by the Catalonian label Aspecto Humano. It has been released in a 300-copy and 140-gram-vinyl edition that can’t be missing in your record collections.
Recorded during the first lockdown, the album contains 5 original tracks with influences from EBM, new beat, future pop and, of course, Valencia sound. On the A-side, we really liked “So The Echo”, a track that can take you to the eighties and back. On the B-side, it’s quite difficult to choose any of the songs, as all three could have been hits back in the day.
So far, the label has released eight 12″ and one LP. We can also recommend the Stare EP, with tracks from the Belgian act The Revolting Eyes and Canadian act Holon. Very interesting is the first work by Anbau, Marcos López and Carlos Cardona’s project, who delivered a great EP that will delight every lover of the classiest synthwave. And after having a look at the prices of the first reference of the label, a compilation entitled Essere EP, where we could find a track by the legendary Das Ding, we can tell you that every time that you buy a vinyl released on Aspecto Humano you are buying good music but also you are doing a great investment.
