Apr\u00e8s un premier Honoris consacr\u00e9 \u00e0 <strong>Death In June<\/strong> en voici un deuxi\u00e8me, cette fois-ci d\u00e9di\u00e9 \u00e0 <strong>The Sisters of Mercy<\/strong> et \u00e0 <strong>The Sisterhood<\/strong>. Le label a \u00e9galement sorti un hommage \u00e0<strong> Genesis P-Orridge<\/strong> dans le pass\u00e9, un \u00e0 <strong>Daniel Darc<\/strong> et son groupe<strong> Taxi Girl<\/strong> et un autre \u00e0 l\u2019inimitable <strong>Noir D\u00e9sir<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\">Parmi les artistes qui rendent hommage au groupe classique d\u2019Andrew Eldritch, nous retrouvons certains noms familiers du label comme le projet de Cold synth <strong>Selfishadows<\/strong>, les gothiques <strong>The Raudive<\/strong> le post-punk de <strong>Versari<\/strong> ou <strong>Chris Shape<\/strong>, cr\u00e9ateur du magnifique <em>Shape to Deform<\/em>. On retrouve \u00e9galement la grande collaboration de cette ann\u00e9e entre <strong>Kill Shelter<\/strong> y <strong>Antipole<\/strong>, <strong>Years of Denial<\/strong>, dont nous vous avons beaucoup parl\u00e9 au cours des derniers mois, et <strong>Deathtrippers<\/strong>, qu\u2019on a d\u00e9couverts gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la compilation Dead Wax. <strong>S\u00e9bastien Faits Divers<\/strong> collabore une fois de plus avec le patron du label <strong>HIV+<\/strong>, comme ils l\u2019ont fait sur l\u2019album de reprise de <strong>Death in June<\/strong>, o\u00f9 figurait aussi le folk gothique d\u2019<strong>Opium Dream Estate. <\/strong>Enfin, nous tenons \u00e0 souligner qu\u2019un certain nombre de projets et de groupes qu\u2019on ne contr\u00f4lait pas vraiment jusqu\u2019\u00e0 pr\u00e9sent collaborent \u00e9galement\u00a0: la darkwave de <strong>Swesor Bhrater<\/strong> post-punk\/shoegaze par<strong> Delphine Coma<\/strong>, le rock gothique de <strong>A Wedding Anniversary<\/strong> (form\u00e9 en 1988) et Karloz M. avec ses projets<strong> Stranger Dreams<\/strong> et <strong>MNFCTR<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\">Quant aux reprises, je dirais que celles de <strong>Chris Shape, Swesor Bhrater <\/strong>et <strong>Years of Denial<\/strong> sont celles qui s\u2019approprient le mieux la musique des <strong>Sisters<\/strong>\u00a0: le premier cr\u00e9e un morceau de synthwave fr\u00e9n\u00e9tique, le second lui donne une touche indie des ann\u00e9es\u00a080 qui me fait penser \u00e0 <strong>Microdisney<\/strong>\u00a0et le duo incarne le groupe d\u2019Eldritch, tout en ayant un son semblable, gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la voix caract\u00e9ristique de Barkosina Hanusova.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\">Pour le reste,<strong> Kill Shelter<\/strong> et <strong>Antipole<\/strong> soulignent magnifiquement la m\u00e9lancolie de \u00ab\u00a0Nine While Nine\u00a0\u00bb. <strong>A Wedding Anniversary<\/strong> s\u2019av\u00e8rent \u00eatre des \u00e9l\u00e8ves dou\u00e9s avec leur reprise de <strong>The Sisterhood<\/strong>. Le classique \u00ab\u00a0Marian\u00a0\u00bb, de la main de <strong>Selfinshadows<\/strong> semble encore plus gothique.<strong> Delphine Coma<\/strong> se montrent tr\u00e8s respectueux d\u2019\u00ab Amphetamin Logic \u00bb, tout comme <strong>Deathtrippers <\/strong>de \u00ab\u00a0Burn\u00a0\u00bb. <strong>Versari<\/strong> donnent une touche hymnique \u00e0 \u00ab\u00a0Heartland\u00a0\u00bb. <strong>S\u00e9bastien Faits Divers <\/strong>et <strong>HIV+\u00a0<\/strong>tirent pleinement parti de \u00ab\u00a0Flood II\u00a0\u00bb, l\u2019une des derni\u00e8res compositions les plus passionnantes de <strong>Sisters of Mercy<\/strong>, \u00e0 laquelle ils ajoutent des touches \u00e9lectroniques et profitent de la libert\u00e9 que leur offre le morceau. Pour terminer <strong>Opium Dream Estate<\/strong> transforment \u00ab\u00a0Some Kind of Stranger\u00a0\u00bb en un titre encore plus obs\u00e9dant et m\u00e9lancolique et <strong>The Raudite<\/strong> et font un travail ph\u00e9nom\u00e9nal dans les atmosph\u00e8res de \u00ab\u00a0Colours\u00a0\u00bb. En guise de bonus, on peut se d\u00e9lecter d\u2019un titre original en fran\u00e7ais de <strong>Maman K\u00fcsters <\/strong>de \u00ab\u00a0Flood I\u00a0\u00bb.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\">En bref, cet album plaira-t-il aux fans de<strong> Sisters of Mercy<\/strong>\u00a0? S\u00fbrement. Ces nouvelles versions en valent-elles la peine\u00a0? \u00c7a ne fait aucun doute. Est-ce un album int\u00e9ressant pour ceux qui veulent d\u00e9couvrir de nouveaux groupes\u00a0? Absolument, moi-m\u00eame, j\u2019ai not\u00e9 quelques noms. Cela fera-t-il de nous de meilleures personnes\u00a0?
