Nous vous proposons un voyage onirique fait de sonorit\u00e9s \u00e9tranges et d\u2019inattendu \u00e0 travers <em>The Progress of Nothing, <\/em>3<sup>e<\/sup>\u00a0EP du groupe. Paru le 29\u00a0janvier 2021, il disponible au format num\u00e9rique.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\"><em>The Progress of Nothing<\/em> est \u00e0 l\u2019image d\u2019une cr\u00e9ature qui hante les profondeurs de l\u2019inconscient humain. Les contours de ses formes sont indistincts et mouvants. Lorsque l\u2019on pense s\u2019approcher et que ces derni\u00e8res semblent se pr\u00e9ciser, la cr\u00e9ature change de nature, parvient \u00e0 se jouer de nos sens et \u00e0 nous entra\u00eener plus loin dans son sillage.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\">L\u2019exp\u00e9rimentation est la clef de vo\u00fbte de l\u2019univers musical de <strong>Reconvalescent. <\/strong>L\u2019EP s\u2019ouvre sur un titre relativement court dont la mati\u00e8re sonore semble tourner en rond. De cette ambiance lointaine \u00e9merge une m\u00e9lodie gla\u00e7ante que l\u2019on pourra retrouver \u00e0 la fin de \u00ab\u2009Consume me\u2009\u00bb, le second titre. Ce dernier se construit progressivement sur une s\u00e9rie d\u2019accords de guitare. La voix est d\u00e9sincarn\u00e9e et devient gutturale avec l\u2019entr\u00e9e fracassante de la batterie. Fracassant est le terme ad\u00e9quat pour parler de \u00ab\u2009Reconstructivist\u2009\u00bb qui se rapproche le plus d\u2019une esth\u00e9tique metal plus \u00ab\u2009classique\u2009\u00bb. L\u2019impact de la batterie est omnipr\u00e9sent, les riffs sont gras \u00e0 souhait et tout semble \u00eatre pr\u00eat \u00e0 se d\u00e9rouler \u00e0 la mani\u00e8re d\u2019une chanson \u00e0 la structure normale. Toutefois, les changements de tempo, le brusque temps de silence vers la moiti\u00e9 du titre et sa fin \u00e0 l\u2019image d\u2019une machine qui s\u2019arr\u00eate de fonctionner cr\u00e9ent du dynamisme et des effets surprenants. \u00ab\u2009I Will Show You Every Part of Me, Even the Darkest Ones\u2009\u00bb est le titre le plus long avec ses 8\u00a0minutes. Il offre un moment de relative qui\u00e9tude, un moment qui invite \u00e0 la m\u00e9ditation. Entre riffs hach\u00e9s et violents, sonorit\u00e9s \u00e9pur\u00e9es puis d\u2019une violence magmatique, \u00ab\u2009Ghost of Story\u2009\u00bb dresse un tableau d\u00e9bordant d\u2019imagination. Enfin, \u00ab\u2009The Progress of Nothing\u2009\u00bb cl\u00f4t l\u2019EP. Il est une sorte d\u2019image miroir du premier titre, par sa dur\u00e9e qui est presque identique \u00e0 \u00ab\u2009Cult of Solaria\u2009\u00bb et par ses sonorit\u00e9s relativement proches. Tr\u00e8s \u00e9pur\u00e9, il en suspend comme fig\u00e9 dans l\u2019espace.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\"><strong>Reconvalescent <\/strong>fait preuve d\u2019un savoir-faire original, mais dont le r\u00e9sultat est riche en images et en paysages sonores.
