We know that the composition and production of Asseptic Room<\/strong>\u2019s records are long and punishing processes\u2014just like giving birth\u2014thanks to the perfectionist nature of its founder, Carlos Ruiz. The former member of Dioxyde<\/strong>, together with Mario Gonz\u00e1lez, has delivered this year their fourth album, Deconstructor<\/em>.<\/strong> And while they had already reached great heights with their previous release, there\u2019s no doubt they\u2019ve managed to surpass themselves with this LP.<\/span><\/p>

Five years have passed since the release of Extinction or Reawaken<\/em>, their complex third album, which they presented in Madrid alongside Hocico<\/strong>. Carlos has always taken his time when delivering records, and Visceralofobia, <\/em>his second albums is from\u00a02011, just another five years after the debut Morbid Vision<\/em>s<\/em><\/strong> (from 2006). Deconstructor<\/em> has been released by the label Advoxya on CD, and you can also listen to it on the artist\u2019s Bandcamp.<\/span><\/p>

\u201cThe album reflects a process of transformation and reconstruction within the project\u2019s sonic identity,\u201d says the Bandcamp text.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>

And it\u2019s true: Deconstructor<\/em> sounds different from other Asseptic Room releases\u2014more modern in the best sense of the word, with electronics that sound like 2026. On top of that, the tracks are more catchy, even though Carlos sings in the most brutal way possible.<\/span><\/p>

Moving on to a more detailed review, any great work needs a great intro\u2014and this one is \u201cChants\u201d, the track that perfectly brings us into the album\u2019s atmosphere. It\u2019s driven by smashed, furious drums and victorious shouts. We got into the vibe of the album with \u201cFinal Bottle\u201d, a composition with a heavy rhythm, intense and genuinely terrifying. New production details are already starting to show, and the track also features a fantastic chorus with a hint of epicness\u2014undoubtedly one of the album\u2019s standout tracks.<\/span><\/p>

More dance-floor friendly is the crushing \u201cDeconstructor\u201d, with an interesting production, industrial sounds, and an intensity that grows little by little. In \u201cFaceless\u201d you find dramatic pianos and celestial choirs that serve as an introduction to this heavy, oppressive track. The remix of \u201cGolem\u201d brings industrial sounds, a super powerful performance from Carlos, and an unsettling touch thanks to sounds that seem like sirens.<\/span><\/p>

In \u201cDon\u2019t Stab Me\u201d, production shines again: the duo really manages to create their own sound through military rhythms, an epic touch in the use of synths, a pinch of industrial, and a modern finish. It\u2019s also one of the catchiest tracks. From \u201cEstigia\u201d, I especially highlight the stifling atmospheres\u2014again\u2014along with voices designed to inspire terror.<\/span><\/p>

\u201cOppression\u201d sounds like more dark electro, an aggressive track where Carlos almost seems like a metal vocalist. \u201cSomos Piezas\u201d would make a great single: it\u2019s catchy, features a furious performance, and has overwhelming production. \u201cSynthetic Dreams\u201d is a slow, dramatic track with evolving, elegant keyboards, while \u201cSlavetanz\u201d is one of the sung compositions in Spanish, with a heavy rhythm, detailed production, and lots of epicness. \u201cThrough the whispers\u201d is more industrial\u2014very dark and powerful.<\/span><\/p>

In \u201cShame and forgiveness\u201d, the darkness continues with another excellent production. We reach the end with \u201cDebris of the Self\u201d, a danceable rhythm that\u2019s also very catchy. And if you still want more, there are two bonus tracks: the aggressive \u201cExitless Room\u201d and the short but intense \u201cThe Other side.\u201d<\/span><\/p>

Deconstructor<\/em> is the best album Asseptic Room<\/em> could have released today\u2014and that\u2019s already saying quite a lot.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
