A few years ago, French label Unknown Pleasures surprised us with an unexpected collaboration: Javi Golo<\/strong>, known more recently as JG Outsider<\/strong>, and Gerd Van Geel<\/strong>, the vocalist from the legendary The Arch<\/strong>, joined forces under the name Bella Eterna<\/strong>. <\/span>That collaboration\u2014and meeting at Ombra Festival\u2014put the Murcia-based musician in contact with Pedro Pe\u00f1as Robles<\/strong>, the owner of Unknown Pleasures, also known as HIV+<\/strong>. And the first result of that connection is this three-track single.<\/span><\/p>

In recent years, JG Outsider<\/strong> has been busy collaborating with Spammerheads<\/strong> and preparing new material with Van Geel<\/strong>, while Pedro Pe\u00f1as Robles<\/strong> has put together a highly recommended compilation focusing on his collaborations in the EBM\/industrial\/electro style. <\/span>For this release, they\u2019ve created the track \u201cWaiting For A Smile,\u201d<\/strong> available in two versions: the original, and another remix by HIV+<\/strong>. There\u2019s also a remix, this time by JG Outsider<\/strong>, of Adan+Ilse\u2019s<\/strong> classic \u201c<\/strong>Sin of Sin.\u201d <\/span>It has been released digitally, and we\u2019re hoping that a label like Or\u00e1culo\u2014or even Unknown Pleasures itself\u2014will see the potential and issue it on vinyl or cd as well.<\/span><\/p>

At the beginning of this year, JG Outsider <\/strong>composed\u00a0\u201cWaiting For A Smile\u201d<\/strong> and thought it would be perfect with the voice of Pedro Pe\u00f1as Robles<\/strong>, who\u2014besides singing\u2014also wrote the lyrics. The result is an incredible composition: an overwhelming production with industrial touches, and a Pedro Pe\u00f1as delivering a very personal interpretation\u2014fragile, but packed with real power.<\/span><\/p>

It almost feels like HIV+<\/strong> wanted to go head-to-head over who could deliver the \u201cdefinitive\u201d version. While his remix doesn\u2019t stray too far from the original, he gives the synthesizers even more prominence.<\/span><\/p>

\u201cSin of Sin,\u201d<\/strong> originally by Adan+Ilse<\/strong>, appeared as a single in 2015<\/strong> and later featured on their 2016<\/strong> LP Chirurgie Plastique<\/em><\/strong>. It\u2019s one of the duo\u2019s most solid tracks\u2014original, and with that wonderfully deranged edge they always nailed so well. \u201cSin of Sin\u201d<\/strong> had already been remixed before, by Vague Noir<\/strong>, on a compilation titled 2012\u20132019<\/em><\/strong>, which contained three originals and some contributions from several artists in Unknown Pleasures\u2019 orbit, all offering their take on Adan+Ilse<\/strong>\u2019s sound.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

Now JG Outsider<\/strong> takes \u201cSin of Sin\u201d<\/strong> and gives it a electroclash vibe making it intensely danceable, smoothing out some of the track\u2019s darker, more dramatic side. <\/span>In other words: it\u2019s perfect for the dancefloor.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
