{"id":21593,"date":"2020-06-20T15:00:34","date_gmt":"2020-06-20T13:00:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/elgarajedefrank.es\/?p=21593"},"modified":"2024-04-24T00:01:23","modified_gmt":"2024-04-23T22:01:23","slug":"single-ii-the-rings-of-saturn","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/elgarajedefrank.es\/en\/single-ii-the-rings-of-saturn\/","title":{"rendered":"SINGLE &#8211; ii: The Rings of Saturn"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\">The last band that has caught our eye is\u00a0from <strong>ii<\/strong> (pronounced \u201cTwo Eyes\u201d), a&#8221;ghost wave\u201d three-piece band from Nancy, France that released <em>The Rings of Saturn<\/em> in March 2010, their first single and premier of the album that is going to be released next year. The band has made the most of these months of lockdown to record a couple of songs more: \u201cCrows\u201d that sounds a bit like <strong>Chelsea Wolfe<\/strong> going industrial and the intense \u201cSummer In The Wait\u201d. They have also proved to have a very good taste choosing what to remix: first with \u201cErde\u201d by our dear <strong>Chelsea Wolfe, <\/strong>and also with \u201cStrange Days\u201d by the <strong>HEALTH <\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Daughters\u2019<\/strong> \u201cDaughter\u201d. All their original songs can be heard and bought in their <a href=\"https:\/\/iitwoeyes.bandcamp.com\/track\/the-rings-of-saturn\"><strong>Bandcamp<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0and the remixes can be found on YouTube.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\">One of the things that have made the past months more bearable, have been all those concerts that musicians have made at home, and <strong>ii<\/strong> have been also part of this initiative with a live that you can see <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=zp1qEn8AOng&amp;feature=youtu.be\">here<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=zp1qEn8AOng&amp;feature=youtu.be\">.<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\">But let\u2019s talk about the single: \u201cThe Rings of Saturn\u201d is a epic dark pop song loaded with a strong industrial influence, perfect to sing along and with a very powerful ending.
