“Factory Walk”, the first single by The Neon Judgement is about to turn 45 years old and to celebrate it, Neon Electronics has recorded a new version that has just been released as a digital single. We remind you that NE is the project of Dirk Da Davo together with Glenn Keteleer (better known as Radical G) and Pieter-Jan Theunis. This rework is accompanied by a remix by Radical G alone, to make the single even more appealing. The trio will also be playing two of the dates of Front 242‘s last tour. After their impressive performances at the Spanish festivals Ombra and DarkMad, we advise you not to miss them if you are lucky enough to have a ticket for one of these two sold out gigs.
“Factory Walk” was one of the first singles on the legendary Antler label (which now seems to be back) and an incredible introduction for the band, which became their first classic. The rework gives it a more current industrial sound while keeping the most characteristic features of the track. Perfect to be played nowadays. And if we’re talking about DJing the tracks, Radical G‘s incredible remix brings the track even closer to the dancefloor, as an alert Dave Clarke has already proven. The “Dystopian rework” stretches the track to seven minutes, making it danceable while updating the darkness of the original version. Listen to it and be surprised.
