“Unkind Lover,” dark pop artist Darwin’s new single, features a collaboration of David J playing harmonica. Mixing darkness and sensuality in a perfect way, the song is based on a short story by Dani Burlison.
Darwin Meiners has been quite busy lately: this year, he has recorded another single, entitled Dance Alone and the EP We Are Matter. His discography is completed with a couple of EPs and two full albums: So Few Comets (2019) and Starfishing, originally released in 2012 and rereleased in a vinyl edition just three years ago. Starfishing was produced by David J, because both artists have worked together frequently in the last decade, as Darwin was part of David J and The Gentleman Thieves and also shared a split with them. But even before that, David J collaborated in the Five Beasts One EP, one of the first projects of Darwin with an EP released in 2011. A lot of material to discover on this quiet Sunday afternoon.
